CTN's Deanna Ward Serves as Keynote Speaker at AT&T Women in Telecom Golf Day

By Jennifer Cobb

Deanna Ward, Connected Tennessee’s state operations manager for the West Tennessee region, served as keynote speaker of the 9th Annual AT&T Women in Telecom (WIT) Golf Day on September 11, sharing her journey as a woman in telecom, both personally and professionally, and the importance of supporting and encouraging young women in the telecom field through mentorships and scholarship.

Hosted by the Program of Distinction in Telecommunications Systems Management (TSM) at Murray State University (MSU), women in the telecommunications field had the day to enjoy professional golf instruction, presentations from distinguished speakers, lunch and an afternoon golf scramble.

This event raises scholarship money for females enrolled in the TSM program at Murray State. AT&T and several companies around the region sponsored golf holes, donated promotional items and sent participants to help make the day a success.
