From Fort Campbell to Nashville, Clarksville is connected in a diverse, geographically well positioned and mutually interactive region of economic activity. Now the task is seizing the day and creating the 21st-century jobs and opportunity that will ensure forward momentum well into the future.

This theme permeated through a series of presentations by economic developers at the 4th Annual Clarksville-Montgomery County Growth Summit, held Thursday at Austin Peay State University. The event was coordinated by the local Economic Development Council.

For this community, there are worldly business elements that uniquely sustain us, fueled in part by the melting pot of nationalities either attached or indirectly related to Fort Campbell, and furthered by newer key players such as Japanese-owned Bridgestone Metalpha and now the $800 million South Korean-owned Hankook Tire plant that's coming.
